New Thai immigration has just been put in place, this one a positive one for a change.
If you enter Thailand without obtaining a Thai immigration visa in advance & get a 30 day, non exempt immigration entry stamp, you can now extend that for an additional 30 days at a Thai immigration office for 1,900 bht. The old law was that you could only extend for 7 days.
This is a 1 time extension, you would then have to exit Thailand and re-enter when the 30 day extension is expiring.
If your country of citizenship is not G7, on a land border entry into Thailand, you will only be granted 14 days (G7 30 days), it is unclear what extension you will be given at Thai immigration, I have an agent finding out.
