Distance 76 km
The pleasant twisty 4043
I stopped to help these two out thinking they had crashed but they had taken a track into the woods and were trying to get the bike through the ditch and back onto the road
Now on a road that has been paved since it was mapped as its showing as an unpaved one on the GPS map, its not one that I have been on before though
Its got great views
After a km or two it turns to very easy going unpaved
Here I take a side track thats not on my GPS maps
It looks like its about to end
As long as I can get through that field there is a track awaiting me and as there is a new house built there a road out also awaits me as the traffic certainly didnt come in the way I just have
At the house the track splits so they both need exploring and they both loop round to Mae Aen
Another track takes me to where there is an enduro track but I wasnt really interested in riding around it
I decide to stop here for my lunch and two cyclists come along who tell me the enduro track has junctions with ways out back towards the 4043 and also towards Mae Aen so I change my mind and decide to ride it
Some offroad bikes have definitely been here
At a T junction I take the left which is a muddy downhill single track that goes back to the main track I rode in on but closer to the 4043, I wasnt interested in struggling back up it again to see where the other way went, I was hoping to find it from another track but it never happened.
Thats tomorrows job locating it
Another muddy overgrown track takes me to what I guess is the Mae Aen reservoir and it looks like there is a road to it looking across the water
From another road I get there and its completely full
Lots of signs for Buddah's Footprint and its a paved road all the way here from Mae Aen
N18.96311 E098.88130
Hence the name
All this previously unmapped and not far from town
