Heading out along the 1090 and it doesnt look nice ahead
Stopping off at Pha Charoen Waterfall
Lots of people here enjoying the water today but too many nude bodies for any photos
Further along the 1090 and a Chinese cemetery just off of it
This unpaved track takes me to a reservoir
Its overflowing and I was hoping this was the source of the Walae river but upon further inspection on GE it appears the source is further upstream.
Next visit I will explore further north and hopefully locate it
This road was a dirt track last time I rode it a few years ago, now its fully asphalted throughout
I was wondering what was growing here
Then realised it had been potatoes and the greenery is just weeds growing between the potato rows
These field workers seem a very happy bunch
That engine was certainly pumping some water out
The photo doesnt show the extent of the water pouring onto those batteries, I didnt think water and electricity were the best of bedfellows
Potatoes galore along this road
Now riding through a water crossing looking for the Pha Di Waterfall
I ask for Pha Di Namtok and to my surprise the girl with the black top replies in perfect English, excuse me sir do you have a problem?
She lives in the US and was just home visiting family, apparantly I had to climb to find it and I wasnt that bothered about it
More lovely dust, although its preferable to smoke
I am surveying whats out here for next trip and I see lots of unmapped and unpaved tracks to keep me busy
Even more potatoes
Now on a road over the hills that I started to ride yesterday until the new concrete roads took me away from it and I never had time to get back to it
This one goes up high and usually is very scenic
Its still a fun road even with the pollution, only the views are spoilt
My naked eyes can make out the Moei in the middle of the above photo, I will ride along here again when I return
Chicken tikka botti and naan bread at Bismillah 170 Baht
