20-12-19 Chiang Mai-Two Do The Erawan And Thep Na Mitra Cave Trip

Distance 160 km

Paul and I met up at Chiang Mai Railway Station then it was a straight ride to the Erawan Cave, these stone steps were the hardest climb of the day



From a distance it looked like something growing on the floor







We quickly found your bat Ally















More wildlife in here













The cave went further than I was expecting









Wasnt expecting to see that in here

A pool of water that neither of us wanted to walk through

Finally I manage to catch a bat in flight, lots of them flying around in here

When I rode here yesterday there was nowhere near this many leaves on the the road so I guess it was a bit windy last night

Now at the Thep Na Mitra Cave















This is a much smaller cave and more touristy, both are free to enter











An interesting day

Thanks Ally, when did you find out about the Erawan Cave? On my trip over the mountains on december 1st I was looking at my track on Google Maps and saw it, that was how I first found out about it

Seems I happened across it back in Feb 2015.
