1947 Indian Chief on a big tour - 26 countries from 1964-1966
While riding in Panama in 1964, the chain snapped and shattered the metal clutch box casing on my dad's 1947 Indian Chief. To continue his trip, he had to gather all the broken fragments and reassemble it all with nothing but mud to hold it together, literally. This is my dad and his riding partner Manuel in 1964 fixing the shattered clutch box.
And here they are just trying to stay cool in the desert heat.
