Distance 66 miles/105 km
It rained yesterday afternoon and evening so I decided to take the MSX out knowing the roads in the shade would still be wet and possibly a bit slippery too
Lush and green here now
I went offroad hoping this shortcut would take me to the paved surface but it didn't work out so it was an about turn
Its quite high altitude here and not very warm in the late morning
Now at a lower altitude and its getting warmer
Surprised this fishing lake is deserted today
A wet road under the trees
I really like that stone wall with the brickwork buttresses supporting it
Some large chickens here
Mid afternoon and now the roads are dry and its a warm pleasant temperature at last
I ride under what I assumed was an old unused railway bridge and climb up the bank but the dirt track is not straight enough for it to have been a former railway line
This old mill has been converted into houses now
Back home and I slowcook a Guinness pulled pork
With new potatoes, home made sage and onion stuffing, onions and cabbage
Plus the lovely gravy made from what was left of the Guinness stock
