Distance 201 km
The road that goes on further than any maps show on my journey south
Still paved but now considerably narrower
Ban Pa Lao was where the OSM map finished and whilst the ESRI showed an unpaved track continuing for a way it didnt go far
100 kgs of cement is some luggage on his Wave
Off he goes on his trip across the fields
I ride further south and the track turns to unpaved
Soon I am completely off the map and wonder how far and where this track goes to
The odd bit of paved on some steep parts
Surprised to find another village along here
Childrens day at the school in Ban Mae Sa Ngae.
A company called Pandora from Lamphun had organised it and brought toys along
I am asked to eat there so I gratefully accepted this very pleasant dish of fried rice with chicken
Plus of course an obligatory ice cream
Old and young enjoying themselves together
I carry on riding south as the road carries on further
Just past the village and a small Temple on the top of a hill
Finally I reach another village which appears to be Ban Pong Phang
Its pretty quiet here as I guess they are all at the school in the other village
Riding back and there is someone at the Temple on the hill
Now looking down upon Ban Pa Lao and I am now back on the paved road
Just after I took this photo the sidecar wheel hit a rock and the guy in the sidecar fell out, luckily he was not hurt
Completely dried up riverbed here
Time to explore more tracks both paved and unpaved on the way back
Sunday evening buffet at Gecko Garden 250 Baht, in amongst that lot was chicken, turkey, ham, beef, smoked pork and smoked chicken
