Things happened very fast here, the bike in front of this guy ran the snake over, I stopped to get the photo but before I could get my camera out this guy had stopped his bike on the snake to stop it from getting away

Once it was safely in his grasp he was only too happy to hold it up for photos

IMG_9351.JPG

I am guessing it is venemous as he wont let go of where he is holding it at the head

Now bagged up and ready for his dinner

A much brighter day today and no rain either but there were puddles out here from last nights rain

A dirty disgusting polluted pond

This twisty road
IMG_9375.JPG

Turns to this
IMG_9376.JPG

Then becomes this but as I have rode a fair way I soldier on for another 200 metres to reach the highway, not the easiest of things to get through

IMG_9395.JPG

On the way home I go to Makro and meet the owner of Gecko Garden who tells me about the buffet there this evening, I follow him home to locate the place then go back there for 6 pm to enjoy the buffet

That ham was delicious and the bread was the nicest I have ever eaten in Thailand, at 220 Baht for good quality food its a great deal.
Two whole big chickens were on the table plus corned beef, proper American style corned beef not that stuff that comes out of Fray Bentos tins that we had to suffer as kids back in the 1960s. Smoked pork was on the table too, there was a big salmon as well for those who eat it
The ribs were good too and on saturdays its 199 Baht for a big rack of ribs with jacket potato or fries plus a sweetcorn, guess where I plan on eating next saturday

Hi again Colin,
Your snake looks very much like a Checkered Keelback (Xenochrophis piscator) งูลายสอใหญ่ - non venomous although they can give a nasty bite. I snapped this one last year at my house in Kan. Thais think all snakes are dangerous and usually kill them which is a shame as they are beautiful creatures. Mind you that one of yours didn't have much chance after being run over!
