1-7-18 Old Bikes And Gloomy Weather In Somerset

Some old bikes that were out on last Wednesday evening

I did ponder on buying one of these back in the 1970s but was put off by their appalling fuel economy, that was the 2 strokes worst feature

Out today and riding along the Somerset levels I noticed this flood barrier, never before have I noticed one in the UK

The passing vehicles are keeping the trees in shape

As I was heading east towards Glastonbury at first I thought this was the Glastonbury Tor

But then quickly realised that it wasn't

It is an old Church ruin here at N51.07091 W002.91433

Stinging nettles or water

Its very annoying to see the sky so gloomy here after a blistering hot week

While I was here it briefly rained a little bit

One of the many waterways along the Somerset levels

Roadside and I was expecting it to be from a recent accident but the poor guy died 17 years ago

I might venture along that way next weekend

Roasted sausages, onions, potatoes and red pepper for tonights meal
